The Theme Editor lets developers expose safe, structured controls so merchants can tailor a theme, no code required. Using schema files, you define which elements are customizable (colors, typography, layout options, etc.) and which sections/blocks merchants can add, remove, or reorder. This keeps your theme opinionated and robust while giving merchants the flexibility they need to make it their own.
The new theme editor is available only through the New Dashboard. You are able to navigate to it through your development store's dashboard by doing the following steps:
If you are redirected to the old dashboard, there will be a popup in the bottom corner with a link to the new dashboard.

Once in the new dashboard, get to the following page using the side navigation menu

Here you have access to the themes. You can upload a custom theme via a zip file if you do not have any, then click the three dots which should bring up a popup with an option to customize the theme.
